One of my favorite traditions for the last week of the year is to create a new vision board! If you’ve never created a vision board before, I’m here to walk you through the process. A vision board is a powerful tool that can help you clarify your aspirations and bring your dreams to life. By creating a visual representation of your goals, you can gain clarity, focus, and motivation. So, get ready to tap into your creativity and start manifesting the life you want to live!

What is a vision board?
A vision board is a collection of images, words, feelings, anything that helps you feel connected to your goals. It can be made digitally or physically. It should serve as a constant reminder of what you are working towards. Ultimately, a vision board is a tool that can help you to stay connected to your dreams and aspirations, and can serve as a source of inspiration and motivation as you work towards achieving them.
How do I create a vision board?
1. Set your intentions.
Before creating your vision board, take some time to think about your goals and intentions. What do you want to accomplish in the next few months or year? What are your dreams and aspirations? Write these down in a journal or on a piece of paper.
2. Gather inspiration.
Look for images, quotes, and words that inspire you and represent your goals and dreams. You can use magazines, Pinterest, or other online sources to find these. Here are some free images that I'm using for my personal vision board.
3. Choose your board.
Decide on the type of board you want to use for your vision board. It can be a cork board, poster board, a digital board on your computer or phone. I personally use hexagon cork board tiles like these, and my husband uses a regular corkboard like this one. This is an absolutely beautiful option that I plan to upgrade to - it would look so stunning!
4. Organize your materials.
Once you have gathered your inspiration, organize it into categories or themes. For example, you could have sections for career, health, travel, and relationships.
5. Arrange your materials.
Start arranging the images, words, and quotes on your board. You can use push pins, glue, or tape to secure them. Be creative and have fun with it! I love these push pins to add a little extra style to the board.
6. Display your vision board.
Once you have completed your vision board, display it in a place where you will see it every day. This will help keep your goals and dreams at the forefront of your mind and motivate you to take action towards achieving them.
Some tips:
You can change up your vision board whenever your goals change! It does not have to stay the same the whole year to be effective, in fact, it will be more effective if you adjust as you go!
I include motivational prints as well, because I connect with the wording. If there is something that you specifically connect with, include it! I was listening to a song and the lyrics were - “Life is what you make it, I made mine a paradise”, and I love that! So, I put it on the vision board.
I print polaroid-style photos from the previous year - any pictures that correlate to my vision for the future. For example:
This picture makes me feel alive and adventurous - I want to feel more of that in 2024!
This picture reminds me that I’m a money magnet - I’m bringing that energy into 2024!
Family photos make me feel truly abundant - I am so blessed to have such an amazing family!
